Frequently asked questions
How buying, selling and staying safe work on tcgcollector.app.
Buying
How do I know a slab is genuine?+
Every listing is matched to its PSA or BGS certificate — the grade, label and population are looked up and normalised before the listing goes live. On top of that, the seller proves current possession with a signed ownership QR, so you are not buying from a recycled stock photo.
How does payment work?+
Your payment is held in escrow, not paid straight to the seller. The seller ships, you receive the slab, and the funds are only released once you are satisfied.
What if the slab arrives damaged or not as described?+
You have a 48-hour inspection window after you mark the order delivered. Open an issue from the order page within that window with photo or video evidence; opening an issue suspends the release of your payment while it is reviewed. Returns are shipped to the inspection hub, never directly to the seller.
Which grading services are supported?+
PSA and BGS today. More grading services are added behind the same cert-lookup system over time.
Selling
How do I list a slab?+
Create an account, then add a listing: enter the certificate number, and we pull the grade and label for you. You prove ownership by photographing the slab on a watermarked template downloaded to your phone — that generates your signed ownership QR.
When do I get paid?+
Once the buyer confirms receipt, or automatically after the inspection window closes with no open issue, the escrow releases the sale total minus the platform fee to your connected payout account.
Am I selling as a private seller or a trader?+
You declare this at onboarding. Private sellers show the mandatory consumer-law notice on their listings; traders show business details. Selling at volume can require reclassifying to a trader.
Trust & safety
What is the ownership QR?+
A signed, expiring code tied to your account and the specific listing. It proves you actually hold the slab at listing time. It cannot be reused by a later owner — a buyer who relists must validate ownership again.
Where are you based?+
The marketplace serves the EU, starting with Belgium and the Netherlands, with EU consumer-law transparency built in. See our terms, privacy policy and returns policy for the details.
